Food and Entertainment Options Expand at DE.CO

DE.CO food hall in downtown Wilmington’s is shaking things up with new food and entertainment offerings.

The Verandah, an Indian restaurant hailing from Baltimore, closed its DE.CO stall on Friday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. and will be replaced by Stu & Sammy’s, a delicatessen-style soup and sandwiches stall, opening on Wednesday, Jan. 22, DECO announced.

Makers Alley chef James Sparks will be behind the Stu & Sammy’s menu, which will feature modern interpretations of classics like the French Dip and Cubano alongside soups. Stu & Sammy’s brings comfort food to DE.CO, which currently includes Pizzeria Bardea, Connie’s Chicken & Waffles, Phubs, Al Chu’s Sushi, Stripp’d and Spark’d.

The Burger Joint, which has been operating the pop-up in conjunction with Federale Tacos for the past few months, has renewed their lease and will be launching a new menu next week, introducing stuffed burgers and salads, according to a news release.

“We want DE.CO to be known for its food, fun and flexibility,” said Mark Barnyak, General Manager of DE.CO, in a news release. “We are proud to be able to easily evolve based on the tastes and requests of our patrons without compromising quality or convenience.”

In addition to new food options, diners will soon see new entertainment offerings at DE.CO, including ping pong and indoor cornhole. Those interested can also register for adult ping pong and cornhole leagues at DE.CO through Delaware Sports Leagues. There will also be board games available which can be accessed by guests from the bar using a form of ID.

These new entertainment offerings are in addition to DE.CO’s existing daily programming, which is regularly updated and communicated through their newsletter. To sign up, visit decowilmington.com.
