On February 2, 2020 at 3:30 pm PT, the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs duel in Miami for the Lombardi Trophy in what is slated to be one of the more exciting championship games in recent history.
For the mega-fans of each team, this game holds a lot of significance — measured in championship rings, banners, and memorabilia. For every other person not associated with the teams, the game represents an opportunity to binge eat without judgement. No matter which crowd you hail from, the Big Game is one that even fans want to make sure they get right.
While we aren’t here to offer up good buffalo chicken dip recipes (you can ask Alexa for help with that one), we can help you make sure that you have what you need to enjoy the game.
How to watch the game for free
NFL is offering the game for free on the NFL app. All you have to do is download the app, login or create an account, and start streaming for free.
This option will be available to customers in the U.S. who own a Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Edition Smart TVs, and Fire TV Edition Sound Bars.
FOX Sports App
FOX is also offering the game in 4K Ultra HD via the FOX Sports App — no cable subscription required. Just download the app and watch the pre-show and game, live and for free. The broadcast is available to all Fire TV, Fire TV Edition Smart TV, and Fire TV Edition Sound Bar customers in the U.S.
Remember, your TV and your streaming device must support 4K in order to watch the game in 4K Ultra HD, otherwise the game will be in HD, which will still look great.
